INTEGRATED BASE STATION ANTENNAS™

Customized Xertex antenna technology provided the perfect solution for a new integrated PCS base station.Xertex modified its existing Sphere antenna to meet the customer's specifications, and created a new enclosure specifically for mounting on the base station's heat sink.

The original application was designed for spot coverage in high traffic areas, such as stadiums and shopping malls. However, with the assistance of Xertex' antenna development team, the base station's use can now be extended to a completely self-contained, tower-mounted three sector base station, eliminating the requirement for a ground-based structure.

Xertex will create a custom solution for any base station, microcell, or picocell application based on its existing antennas, or entirely new elements to best meet your requirements.

Typical Antenna Patterns

Azimuth Plane
(cut perpendicular to the antenna and perpendicular to the cable)

Elevation Plane
(cut perpendicular to the antenna along the cable axis)

Omni Plane
(cut in the plane of the antenna parallel to the cable)

Xertex designs and tests the integrated base station antennas, as well as other stock and custom designs, in its state-of-the-art Colorado facility. Xertex can modify an existing design or create a new solution to solve any application's requirements.
