POSITION: Regional Sales Manager

LOCATION: Broomfield, Colorado (Denver/Boulder suburb)

ORGANIZATION: Position reports directly to President

DESCRIPTION: The candidate will work with the President and the marketing staff to develop sales leads and sales of existing and future antennas to existing and new customers. The target customers include major wireless OEMs and major cellular/PCS providers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of direct sales experience selling antenna and/or RF components to major accounts.
  • Working knowledge of antennas and antenna systems for wireless communications is required.
  • Demonstrated ability of executive and strategic selling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop accounts.
  • Background commercializing similar technologies to wireless service providers and wireless infrastructure OEMs.
  • Strong background in strategic and consultative selling in RF systems and experience in marketing cellular and PCS infrastructure systems is preferable.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment is preferable.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales quotas (greater that $1 Million) and contribution objectives.

EDUCATION:

  • BSEE or equivalent required.
  • Masters in Business preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage independent marketing representatives in sales territory.
  • Develop forecasted operating plan.
  • Develop and achieve sales targets in support of the forecasted operating plan.
  • Identify opportunities to drive significant volume sales with existing products.
  • Develop, manage and maintain major accounts: understand customer needs, develop and present strategies, provide excellent customer service.
  • Sell existing antenna products to large wireless OEMs.
  • Work with customers and potential customers to develop integrated and customized antennas.
  • Support engineering development with relevant and credible antenna design input from existing and potential customers.
  • Establish relationships within market channels to maintain and improve market share.


POSITION: Product Engineer (Antenna Development/Manufacturing)

ORGANIZATION: Position reports to the Vice President of Operations and has a peer relationship with Senior Manufacturing Engineer and Senior Antenna Engineer

DUTIES:

  • Mechanical/system design of antenna products leading to robust product designs for manufacturing
  • Design antenna radomes and mounting hardware
  • Develop manufacturing and assembly methods
  • Select materials and vendors for all antenna components
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure all components are production ready
  • Transition products from design/prototype stage to pre-production and then full production status
  • Prepare assembly procedures for manufacturing
  • Perform failure analysis for production and field failures and implement corrective/preventive actions

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly evolve engineering designs and prototypes into manufactured products
  • Manufacturing and assembly processes experience required
  • CAD skills for mechanical/product design and to generate fabrication and assembly prints for manufacturing engineering and supplier relationships is desired
  • Strong background in product design and system integration
  • Knowledge of plastics, metals, fasteners, solder, adhesives, coaxial cable, connectors and related materials is desired
  • Knowledge of fabrication techniques including plastic forming, injection molding, metal forming and machining is desired
  • Proven manufacturing documentation preparation skills
  • Ability to analyze designs for suitability to manufacture in volume
  • Working knowledge of quality methods and practices, including process capability concepts and design for manufacturing
  • Experience working in a start-up environment is preferable.

POSITION: RF Engineer (Development and Field Support)

LOCATION: Broomfield, Colorado (Denver/Boulder suburb)

ORGANIZATION: Position reports to the Vice President of Operations

OBJECTIVE: Provide engineering support to product development, manufacturing, and sales/marketing to rapidly translate customer needs into products

DUTIES:

  • Define critical customer/market requirements for antenna products, including matching antenna specifications to customer system requirements (e.g., radio performance, propagation desired, installation environment, etc.)
  • Work with technical staff to fabricate and produce prototype or pre-production products for customer evaluations
  • Interact with product and manufacturing engineering on design factors for customer requirements and manufacturability
  • Support sales /marketing in customer meetings pre-sale
  • Provide post-sale technical support and application trouble shooting to customers
  • Work with customers to facilitate FCC and other qualifications of their products with Xertex antennas
  • Participate in development, design, and launch phases of antenna products, including performing testing, development, and design tasks as needed

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY:

  • Working knowledge of wireless communication systems, especially in-building applications of 802.11/WLAN, Bluetooth, PCS, Cellular, SMR
  • Familiarity with basic microwave and antenna theory, and understanding of antenna parameters such as gain, directivity, efficiency, impedance and pattern bandwidth, and polarization
  • Working knowledge of common microwave devices including impedance matching networks, filter networks, amplifiers, and power dividers
  • Understanding of network analyzer measurements including VSWR, insertion loss, return loss, antenna mutual coupling, S-parameters; use of Smith chart
  • Working knowledge of RF device manufacturing in high volume, and general electro-mechanical assembly processes
  • Ability to perform variety of electro-mechanical tasks used in fabrication of prototype antennas/RF devices
  • Working knowledge of coaxial cable and connector types and their impacts on antenna performance
  • Knowledge of FCC regulations pertaining to in-building wireless devices and the approval qualification of products
  • Knowledge of material and vendor selection for all components of antenna products
  • Understanding of product life cycle from concept to volume production
  • Working knowledge of quality methods and practices, including process capability

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • Engineering degree in EE or related field
  • Several years experience in RF related field in an engineering capacity, some direct antenna experience preferred, some customer/field engineering a plus
